Dr. Chris Russell, M.D.
Founder & Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Russell brings extensive and unique talents to the company as a practicing Neurologist and software developer. He earned a B.S. in Computer Science from Georgia Tech in 1987, and a M.D. from Emory University School of Medicine in 1994. He is board-certified in neurology having completed his residency at Emory University in 1998. Dr. Russell was Chief Resident his final year there and has been in private practice with Peachtree Neurological Clinic in Atlanta, Georgia, since 1998.
Dr. Russell’s career includes work as a software engineer from 1984-1991 for Command Control Inc., on a variety of commercial and government projects. Dr. Russell was compelled to create NoteSwift in 2008 as no one could read his writing and he does not like to use a mouse.
President & Chief Executive Officer
Wayne’s career in technology spans sales, marketing, product management, strategic development and operations. Prior to joining the NoteSwift team, Wayne was President and CEO of CYA Technologies, and then took over as President of enChoice following the acquisition of CYA.
Wayne was a co-founder, executive officer, and senior vice president of sales, marketing and business development at Nuance Communications and was responsible for growing the company to over $200M following the acquisition of Dragon, SpeechWorks and Philips Speech. Before Nuance, he was the European managing director of Xerox Imaging Systems, a wholly owned subsidiary of Xerox Corporation, where he established them as the market leader in document recognition software throughout EMEA and the Pacific Rim.
Wayne’s other career successes included Kurzweil Computer Products, Philips Information Systems, NV, Lexitron (a division of Raytheon Data Systems) and Savin Business Machines. Wayne is much funnier than this executive summary. He brings humor and wisdom to the team, and the ability to find the right person for every job. He enjoys a healthy lifestyle with his family, puppies and of course the occasional round of golf.
Vice President of Products and R&D
As VP of Products, Allan provides guidance and direction to the NoteSwift research and development team, and is responsible for product management and associated road maps. Allan joined the NoteSwift team in 2014 and is responsible for the creation of our virtual assistants. He is responsible for the entire product lifecycle, from planning and development to delivery and implementation.
Before joining the NoteSwift team, Allan held the role of Chief Architect of Imaging at Nuance Communications, where he oversaw creation of new products and patenting of new technologies. Allan earned a B.S. in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from Tufts University, as well as an M.B.A. from Northwestern University. He enjoys spending his free time playing guitar and hanging out with his wife and children.
Director of Finance
Jessica Flesey joined the NoteSwift team in mid 2018 as Director of Finance & HR. In this role, Jessica oversees financial reporting, internal controls, operations, cash management, and human resources activities for the Noteswift team.
Jessica brings more than two decades of experience in finance and accounting to the NoteSwift team, including seven years in the healthcare technology space. She is committed to streamlining processes in order to maximize efficiency and ensure increasing and diverse revenue streams.
Jessica is passionate about education and considers herself a life-long learner. She has earned a B.S. in Business Administration, as well as A.A.s in both Accounting and Paralegal Studies. She is currently pursuing a B.S. in Human Resource Management at Northern Arizona University. She is also an avid reader and enjoys hiking and spending time outdoors with family and friends.
Senior Account Executive
Joseph West joined the NoteSwift team in late 2018 as a Senior Account Executive serving the Western half of the United States. Joseph is passionate about helping frustrated medical providers find the right tools to help them reduce the burden of clinical documentation, and ultimately improve patient outcomes.
Joseph brings more than two decades of experience to the NoteSwift team, including 15 years working in healthcare IT, with 12 of those years spent focused specifically on speech recognition. Joseph earned a B.B.A. from the University of Phoenix and also holds a degree in culinary arts. He enjoys spending his free time with his wife and their miniature schnauzers, traveling as much as possible, playing golf, and cooking.
Director of Products
Deborah has been a member of the NoteSwift team since late 2016, advancing from her starting role as a Q.A. tester to become an integral member of the NoteSwift Development Team.
As Director of Products, Deborah helps drive the focus and development of new features, expanded functionality, and improvements to usability. She is passionate about fixing things, and committed to driving creativity and continuous improvement from a product perspective. She also provides technical expertise to the NoteSwift Support Team as needed, helping to ensure that customer issues are resolved quickly and effectively.
Deborah has more than 20 years of experience working in the technology space, with the latter half of that time focused on both project and product management. She earned a B.A. from the University of Massachusetts, and enjoys both traveling and photography, combining the two as frequently as possible. She has visited 25 countries so far, and hopes to visit each continent at least once in her lifetime.
Principal Software Engineer
Tim is a vital part of the NoteSwift development team, handling software research and development and helping to make our development road map a reality. He joined the NoteSwift team in 2014, and pioneered the development of the patent-pending Dynamic Matching functionality that makes Samantha so effective.
Prior to joining the NoteSwift team, Tim gained experience as a Principal Software Engineer at Nuance Communications, where he contributed to the research and development of some of their core products. Tim earned a B.S. in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and enjoys playing the viola during his free time.
Rachel Edwards, C.M.A.
Customer Success Director
Rachel joined the NoteSwift team in 2013 as a Product Specialist, before taking over as Customer Success Director in 2017. Her role is to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction by leading the implementation, training, education and support functions for NoteSwift’s valued customers.
Prior to joining the NoteSwift team, Rachel was a practicing pulmonary nurse, and later became a Certified Implementation Consultant of EHR Solutions for Allscripts, during which she trained new EHR users and helped customize Allscripts Professional EHR to meet users’ existing needs and workflows.
Rachel earned an associate’s degree from East Georgia College in General Studies / Pre-Nursing and Certified Medical Assistant license from Ogeechee Technical College. She is passionate about being a great wife, mother, and YiaYia to her family. During her free time, she can often be found on the softball field with her daughter, or dancing up a storm wherever the mood strikes her.
As Implementation Manager, Brendon White works closely with our customers to ensure our technology is implemented quickly and effectively, so users can get up and running as quickly as possible. Brendon joined the NoteSwift team in September 2018, bringing with him more than six years of experience in healthcare support and implementations roles.
Brendon is passionate about working with customers to ensure that our software meets their needs and adapts to their workflows, and that it evolves as needed to ensure they can spend the majority of their time on patient care, not on administrative work.
Brendon earned a bachelor’s degree in Business and Political Science from Arizona State University. In his free time, Brendon enjoys spending time with his family, coaching youth sports, playing hockey, and cooking.
